It's ugly but it works

I went back and forth to decide if I wanted a traditional bumper for my son's crib or a breathable bumper and ended up with a breathable bumper. It's not pretty - it's like a cross between a high-end bandage and a teenage bra, but it's breathable and has a bit of padding (I can breathe easy) and I'd rather have ugly bumpers and a breathable baby then, after all certainly not. It comes with 3 side panels and 1 side panel that you weave and assemble (our crib has slats on all four sides so I used all of them). It covers the entire crib well but the ends are just awful. See photo. They definitely could have done it differently. Why not do the ends at the back? Cribs tend to be pushed back against the wall, so it makes sense to tuck the ends there. But he does his job. Also remember that the Velcro is as strong as the Hulk, so be careful not to glue it. When I tried to install it, fuzzy/stretched areas formed on the bumper.
