The safest "bumper "!

One night I panicked when our newborn son's foot got caught between the slats of the crib. After much research, this seemed to be the safest product. Binding took a maximum of 10 minutes. Now he is 6 months old and he rides. This product lets air through when he touches his face and protects his small hands and feet from being pinched again.

Not Recommended by a Doctor

I bought this crib insert without thinking twice because it was recommended by the moms on duty. As I installed it I noticed that the mesh was thicker and softer than I expected and the overlap between the two panels at each end created an even thicker area. So I googled the product and found that AAP recommends not using all bumpers and liners, including those made of mesh, like this one. The death toll is small, but serious injuries from a limb being trapped between the bars are even rarer…

Dangerous product! - Bedding for crib

I put this on my daughter's crib tonight. She is 6 months old. I'm grateful that about 45 minutes after I put her down I went back to her room to feed her because her leg was still through the crib bars but this time OVER the net bumper. Her body was contorted from trying to get out, so she was essentially sleeping with her full weight on her neck. It was terrible. I don't care how many times I have to get up to get her foot back through the bars. Needless to say, I removed it immediately with…

As expected! on Nursery

I was a keen no-bumperer until our son woke us up in the middle of the night screaming in pain and up to his thighs in the slats of his crib. . He was so stuck that I couldn't easily pull his leg out. He was (and still is) what I call an aggressive sleeper (just like his dad! You know them, they snap and roll and pull on the covers!). I bought them because I didn't think my heart could take another scream like that. They're breathable so I never had to worry about him getting too close to him…

Waste of money for bumpers

I don't understand all the positive reviews for this product. I bought it thinking it would be a good choice because it's breathable and safe. It doesn't even stay on the sides of the crib, although I made sure everything was tightened and secured exactly as directed. They are constantly being pulled down making them useless for protecting a child's arms and legs from being pinched. The child can also easily place their hands or feet on the earmold and squeeze it. This is basically only for…

It's ugly but it works

I went back and forth to decide if I wanted a traditional bumper for my son's crib or a breathable bumper and ended up with a breathable bumper. It's not pretty - it's like a cross between a high-end bandage and a teenage bra, but it's breathable and has a bit of padding (I can breathe easy) and I'd rather have ugly bumpers and a breathable baby then, after all certainly not. It comes with 3 side panels and 1 side panel that you weave and assemble (our crib has slats on all four sides so I used

Highly recommended! suitable for cot bedding

We are very happy with this insert. We didn't move our daughter from her Halo bassinet to a crib until she was 6 months old. When we did this, she frequently seemed to stick her arm or leg between the slats. Our nursery has gray walls, a white crib and pink accents, so I ordered this one hoping for a nice combo. Sometimes the colors in these online products can be off-putting when you see them in person. This is not the case here! This is the perfect match. Gray is a beautiful true gray, pink…

Use with care - baby bedding

My rating: 1 star - not at all satisfied, 2 stars - ok, 3 stars - impressed (like), 4 stars - damn well (like love it), 5 stars - wow (essential in my life) As our baby was about 6 months old with his arms and legs wedged between the bed rails (and screaming in agony for help) when he started to roll over, we decided to get a crib protector . But what? After some reading and research we decided to buy these safari print breathable mesh styles. It arrived well packaged and well made. The safari…
