From home cinema to headphones.

I stay up late and my husband gets up and plays his games. With that and a long cable he can plug his headphones into his home entertainment system and play his video games to his heart's content, as loud as he wants and I can't hear a thing! (That's great)

The 3.5 mm cable doesn't fit. I tried several. The opening in the adapter is too big.
