I purchased this product after searching the instruction manual for a similar product that costs twice as much. So I thought I'd give that a try. I'm so glad I did. This greatly simplifies the creation of melting applications. You can fuse the pieces together and then separate them from the mat without touching the glue. The mat is transparent so you can place the applique assembly chart under the mat and assemble your pieces without thinking. The mat comes with a thick Teflon printing sheet that can be used over the appliqué. This will prevent the iron from sticking and burning delicate fabrics. This reduced the assembly time considerably, and my applique now adheres perfectly to the base fabric even after heating the appliqué parts several times. I highly recommend this product.
