Good value for money. The stones are narrower than I thought but that's my fault as they are the exact size advertised in the product description. The base, mounts, guide and sling are all high quality and fit very well. One of the recommendations is to soak the stones longer than indicated in the instructions for the first use. (I soaked them for over an hour) and you're done. After the first use, you can simply soak for 30 minutes. The guide is very helpful for newbies. A quick tip, putting a piece of clear tape on the knife before you attach the guide will help avoid scratching the surface of the knife. After tempering, a small extra step is added to sharpen the blade to a razor-sharp edge. A highly recommended set for those just starting out with whetstone sharpening.
