I purchased this in October last year and fitted it to my pergola in about March of this year. It was easy to install and did a great job in creating a pleasant, shady area in the backyard. Earlier this week, though, we had some strong winds and the cloth was ripped to shreds. I just removed it totally from the pergola and found that it was still well secured by the battens and timber fasteners we used. however, the exposed cloth was completely destroyed by the UV, so that it was brittle and ripped apart easily, so had no strength to resist the wind. I wouldn't recommend using this product in an area where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, therefore, since just a few short months made it likely to tear and be unserviceable.Other reviewers seem to have had a similar experience, and the description on the site suggests that it should perform better than this.
