Review on πŸ”Ά Espresso Wood Round Table with Drawer and Shelf by Frenchi Furniture by Melanee Deal

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Bought 2 oval tables

After ordering and reading some reviews I had my doubts. However, I did not cancel the order and decided to see it myself. Ordered on Friday and delivered on Sunday. Both boxes were sent together in one large Revain box which gave them an extra layer of protection rather than just shipping in the box that the tables come in. The box of the device is made of very thick cardboard, and the parts of the table are packed with foam. While some reviewers didn't like the styrofoam, it helped because the pieces were in perfect condition. As mentioned in other reviews, the instructions are presented in pictures only with no narration. Assembly is quite easy for those who are comfortable putting such things together. Everything you need is included in the package except for the usual Phillips screwdriver. First, use a blanket or a piece of cardboard that was used as a backing so as not to scratch the wood. You start by flipping the top of the table and building from there. The legs attach to the table with the included screws, which are tightened with the included Allen key. DO NOT TIGHTEN THEM IN THIS LOCATION, simply screw them in by hand until almost fully screwed in. The next step is to attach the brackets to the bottom of the next two shelves. This is done with small screws and a screwdriver. Again, do not fully tighten these screws. They should fit snugly, but at the same time be easy to move when needed. The middle shelf is attached to the legs nearby. The easiest way is to level the shelf at the top and slowly slide it down. At this point you will understand why it is important NOT TO DELAY yet. It's snug, but fits and aligns perfectly if you leave enough slack. It is also important that the table is placed on a level surface so that the bolts line up properly with the holes in the legs. Once the screws are almost fully tightened by hand, insert the last shelf. Once you screw the screws in, you can proceed and tighten all the screws. Before you do this, I suggest turning the table right side up and making sure all of your legs are flat on the floor. If not, you can wiggle it to align as the screws are not tight yet. Now it's time to tighten everything up. Turn the table over again and place it on a soft surface. Start at the bottom (underside of the tabletop) and work your way up (bottom shelf). As this is pressed wood and not real plywood, be careful not to over tighten the screws or you could easily poke holes and the legs will be too loose. And don't even think about using an electric drill/screwdriver. My only criticism of this table is the color. The description says cherry finish but it's actually espresso, a darker color than we wanted. But they look so pretty that we will use them anyway. Hope that helps.
