IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE MAKING BUTTONS READ

Let me start by saying that I really liked this machine when I got my hands on it. I bought it for the university I work at. We already have a 3 inch button maker, but we needed a smaller one to avoid going broke. I had a very hard time following the instructions to make the button. directions are not clear. Let me break it down for you if you have a problem.1. Once it's assembled, put your items into the crafting machine.2. If there is a gap between the two molds, you need to lower the upper mold manually.3. In this section, the rods DO NOT ENTER THE HOLES. The mold should be aligned so that the two outer sticks are not aligned with the holes.4. When you get to the second shape, it should line up where the sticks enter the holes. I know this sounds like a mess, BUT this will help you. The instructions never mention that the holes in the first shape must not line up with the bars. All in all, I would definitely recommend this machine. We didn't have any problems with the plastic backs either. Plus for the price (our $400 3 inch through another company) I can't complain BUT I would recommend they update the instructions.
