1 phone in my set of 4 stopped charging because I think it was charged all the time. However, I lifted it once and the bottom was very hot. I thought he was so hot trying to charge a dead battery. I bought the combo pack because one of the other phones would likely need a new battery and the combo price was cheaper. The battery was easy to put in and once fully charged I last about 1 1/2 weeks or to the last bar without a charger. I'm so glad I bought it and it was cheaper than buying a new cordless phone or a 4 pack.
