This is a good value for money stool. We have two of these and each is a small, lightweight stool that fits and stores inside the larger unit. The larger block has a removable top that can be flipped over and placed back into the frame of the larger block; This allows you to put your feet up on a nice soft ottoman, or a wooden tray to rest dishes etc. The side of the tray is recessed about 3 inches to accommodate whatever you put on it. We use them in our TV room in front of our sofa. We put our plates and glasses on the wooden side when we eat there. We can then remove the dishes and flip the lid to raise the legs. But this large ottoman is a little high to put your feet up, the smaller ottoman is a more comfortable height to rest your feet. This is not heirloom quality. In a household with active kids they don't last more than a year in my opinion, I don't think they are that long lasting. At this point, "leather" is obviously an artificial material. For the price it is excellent value for money. I would highly recommend them for the price and ease of use.
