Review on DEEPCOOL MATREXX 50 Tempered Glass Supported by Michael Keegan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great value case, great airflow

Toilet Reviews: Love building in this case. I had a Matrixx 70 and wanted to see if the 50 was any good. I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of cable routing, particularly on the bottom of the board. I was a little disappointed when the audio and USB cables looked like a bottle of ketchup and mustard blown all over the cable with no packaging. I managed to fix this by using shrink wrap as shown in the photos. Another oddity was that I bought deepcool fans with 12v rgb but for some reason only had 5v rgb in the case. So I believe the front light doesn't work on a 12V RGB board. I haven't figured it out yet. The body glass is nice and thick and the metal is really good. I can mount a radiator up to 280mm at the top or front. Yes, there are 3 fans in the front, but there is not enough room for 360 due to the PSU shroud. I recommend this case if you're on a $50 budget and value good airflow and build space. I wish it had a vertical mount built in. But that hasn't happened yet. I also wish there were portal grommets, but as you can see everything looks fine as long as you keep the cables away from the holes. The airflow in this case with a 120 AIO never exceeds 78c with little overclocking. And my RX580 doesn't go over 78c either. One thing I would like to say, do not buy the +3F model. You actually get more value from 5 Deepcool fans retailing for $29 and the case for $49. The 3F is typically $70 and you only get 3 fans. I'd rather pay 10 extra and get 2 extra fans. Or have 140 x3 in front and buy 3 packs. This is my review of the toilet bowl of this enclosure.
