My L3 button stopped working properly so I decided replacing the buttons or replacing the controller were my only options, the latter of which was costing me too much money at the moment. The buttons arrived and after watching a short YouTube video I cracked my controller quite easily. The actual button change is the easy part. I smeared WD 40 on L3 and R3 sticks and sealed everything. I've been playing COD and Fortnite with the new buttons for days and they work great. The square button feels more responsive and the sticks feel like new again. I like the extra weight of the controller, it's minimal but only noticeable at first glance. I can't confirm the slippery metal handle issue as I'm using Kontrol Freeks extensions. Strangely, the KF extensions are almost too tight on the L3, but are very loose on the R3. I solved the problem with a very small piece of paper towel folded under the KF to ensure proper contact. But it's great. I will also buy another set for my friend's controller!
