This is an overview of the black and white flat Cat 6 Ethernet cable, each 15 feet long. Use such quality cables and do not skimp on cables. Your devices are only as good as the cables you use with them. Example. What good is a 1000Mbps device if you're using a cable that only works at 100Mbps or doesn't carry a strong signal? I say that from experience. I've tried cheap cable routes in the past and had nothing but problems. I have them installed now so I can ensure reliable performance. Perfect. I also like how thin the cable is, how well made it is and how easy it is to use. The specs are Cat 6 and it is a must today to keep up with our higher internet speeds. Unlike Category 5, which is limited to 100Mbps, it supports Gigabit speeds of 1000Mbps. - Uses 250MHz instead of 100MHz like Cat5. If you look at the ends, they have a portion of the shoe that extends past the attachment clip. In this way, the transparent clip does not get caught on objects when it is mounted or moved. - RJ45 network ends have gold-plated contacts. (Ideal for providing the best data transfer possible.) - Has much less Category 5 crosstalk. This means you get cleaner data transfer. - Even. I've used rounded cable types and they tend to bend. (Especially when I tried to stretch the false ceilings.) The low profile design is much easier to work with and makes for a much neater and cleaner install. - Made from high quality 31AWG wires! That's super important. Many cables are not solid copper and contain aluminum or other metals that are not the best for reliable data transmission. They use bare copper strands. (The reason they use stretched bare copper wire is that solid copper wire is very difficult to bend and is more likely to break when you move and work on the wire.) - ROSH compliant, UL and TIA/EIA 568-C rated -listed. 2 verified.
