Review on πŸ”’ High-Quality 10mm Flat Shaft Central Door Lock Actuator Motor FC-280PC-22125: Ideal for Power Locking Repair Engine with D Spindle by Andre Young

This is the right motor to power the Lexus LS430 door lock. Worked great.

These motors are perfect for the door operators on my 2003 Lexus LS430. They have a D-shaped shaft that is needed to drive the worm gear. The engines were exactly the same and matched. For those thinking of replacing this motor themselves to save hundreds of dollars, it's not that difficult. The only 2 things that are a bit tricky are the window guide and the clip that holds the bar on the outside door handle. For the window rail guide I had to loosen the screw on the outside at the bottom of the door that secures the bottom of the guide. After unscrewing it, bend the rail forward and slide it up and over the door support tube. Bending it that far seems odd, but it's just what is needed to make room for the drive. For the clip on the door handle stem you will need to use a flashlight and a long flat head screwdriver. Climb up and find the yellow plastic clip that goes around the top of the pole. You have to move the clip sideways so that it detaches from the bar. Push it up and the bar will pop out of the hole in the door handle. Another tip: After replacing the engine, be sure to glue the body or attach a clutch. If you do not tighten the panel (or housing) that houses the motor, the motor will make a hissing noise when you open or lock the door. It's okay, but the sound is annoying. I used a zipper around the case and tightened it and it worked fine. The first door took a few hours from start to finish as I had to find my way through it. The second door took less than an hour once I knew the process.
