The best budget portrait lens for your Fuji

Definitely one of my favorite lenses for my XT-10. Of course, if autofocus is important to you then it's useless, but at half the price of the Fuji XF 56mm f/1.4 it's a worthy compromise. You won't find very many lenses with such a wide aperture at this focal length and price. It's an extremely fast lens with crazy bokeh and image quality that's not far off Fuji's own lenses. I've read about some issues with IQ/Sharpness when stopped, but stopping it seems like a waste of time to me. My only concern is that it has no electronics, so no EXIF data is recorded. The focus ring is nice and tight, but goes beyond the infinity mark, so be careful!

Pros
  • It's got something
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
