I had to examine the product more closely, but this involves removing the chip from existing toner cartridges and putting them on top of these. It is not easy. I messed up 2 before I figured it out. The instructions are useless. I definitely see the value in that it's 1/4 the price of an official HP product, but if I didn't have backups ready I wouldn't be able to print. BE VERY CAREFUL BEFORE YOU BUY.
