New review of Zero Drop

I bought this pair to see if it would help my heel pain after months of research. I first tried the ortho shoes which were comfortable but after walking a few miles my heels hurt so bad I was limping around. Some background. I am a 63 year old female, 130 lbs, arch 6.5w and over. I run about 4 miles a day. I wore this pair - yes they were wide enough in the toe! I was pleased. I waited a week before doing this review as my heels were still sore from my previous shoes. A week later, the heels don't hurt at all. I feel a little tired in the forefoot, but hardly notice it. The only complaint I have is that after re-tying the shoes for my high arch, the tongue wasn't wide enough - no problem at all for me. It could use a little more cushioning on the bottom, but that's not a deal breaker, but it could be for heavier hikers. Overall I'm happy with them and my heels appreciate them a lot. I just bought a second pair and decided to try the one with the sock as the tongue wasn't wide enough. This pair is a little tight on my arches, the sock is great. I think the size is perfect for this brand.

Pros
  • Bought for my mom, she loves them
Cons
  • Not suitable for high-intensity training
