My boys (4 and 7) are pretty much anti-silver items. If at all possible, they would prefer to use their fingers. Sometimes I use them as a kind of compromise and everyone is happy. Most of the time, however, they are really useful for packed lunches. Bentgo has no place for plastic products. These picks are the perfect size for those tiny compartments when you want to pack things like melons that you wouldn't normally eat with your fingers. I really like that there are many animals and teeth of different sizes. Some work better than others on certain foods, and they may be too smooth to pick up food without occasionally tipping (like bananas). Just try a little before you pack your lunch. They fit well in my dishwasher's cutlery basket, but are also easy to clean by hand. Overall they are really cute and fit my purpose well.
