There were no instructions so it wasn't fun. But then I accidentally scrolled through the photos here and saw that they were showing directions (sloppily) in an image slideshow. A few things that would make things easier for me: 1) Open the box with the snaps on the side where the piece of styrofoam is. Open it from the other side if you want to know why I said that 🙃2) You have to unlock the tool. Click on it and slide down the small metal element on the left side. 3) Into the part of the pliers that has a hole, insert the "male" or "female" part of the latch. Be careful here - the side you see should be the one you don't want to see in your project. As with the female part, you don't want to see a small protrusion. This is where both sides of the male or female part snap into place, so you have to be careful. Position the pliers over the area where you want to insert the latch and insert the serrated portion of the latch with the teeth facing out. Press for a few seconds and that's it! 4) When you insert the male part, there is actually a hole in your pliers that allows you to see the placement mark as you insert it. This will of course be covered when installing the female part, but is useful at least for the first half! I hope I made it a little easier for some of you.
