I wasn't sure if a foot massager would help but at the age of almost 60 the general aches and pains from being on my feet all day had me begging for relief, so am I'm glad I decided to get this - my tired and aching feet are actually very happy with it! So much so that it sits under my desk in my home office and is used at least once a day. My women's size 9.5W feet fit well with some headroom for tall and wide feet and because of the way they are constructed smaller feet work just as well. There are several settings that can be used to adjust the pressure. Initially, the higher settings that fill the bladder to squeeze your foot were too much, but after just a few uses, the "squeeze" effect was indeed heavenly. Between the compression and kneading massage I use the most, with multiple grips rolling firmly over the soles of my feet, I don't think you can come close to a real "human hands" foot massage, so I'm very happy with that this special foot massager. It appears to be well built and should last quite a while, so the quality justified the expense. the highest setting so I suspect that's the purpose of the heat settings available and I'd say the heat works, just not on very high heat. at the end of each massage cycle. The beeps are loud enough to distract me from my relaxation and I think they will wake up someone in the next room. I would like to disable this feature, but I didn't consider that option. Overall, I'm very happy I made this purchase and use it every day!
