Showerhead is best at 3 stars with flow restrictor installed in California. But it's not the manufacturer's fault, it's the fault of the California legislature nannies. After taking it out, the shower head is really good. Nice current but the water lands softly on you. Feels very good. The limiter is easy to remove. First pry off the rubber pad/grid with a small screwdriver. You will see a small black o-ring partially covering the holes where water enters the shower head (I should have photographed them - there seem to be 5 of them). It's a flow restrictor. Using the same small screwdriver, pry and remove the o-ring. Then reinstall the rubber pad/grid. That's all. The cost difference is very significant. I was tempted to enlarge these 5 holes by drilling them with a drill to get even better flow, but now I'm pretty happy with the flow so I probably won't do it.
