I specifically ordered these for when I'm on the road using rental cars or just when I'm with others and don't have room for my phone! I have great confidence in the magnetic mounting system and all of that. My phones for a number of years and my family's phones have used a metal plate either on the inside of the case or directly on the back of the case. This is the second version of this type of magnetic clip that I have used. . It's functional and works great, and for that I can't give it less than four stars. The magnet is strong enough to hold some large phones, but due to the way it attaches, you will have issues if you have a large, heavy phone or are using a phone case with an extra battery, not necessarily one this device. But just the fact that you're strapped into the car's air vent and it's flexible and easy to move around and that can get you in trouble. So keep that in mind! As for the product itself, I'm just not thrilled with how easy it is to remove or flex the rubberized lid. I would have preferred to have a single molding surrounding the magnet, but that's just a minor issue. The only reason I'm not thrilled with it is that it can pick up dust and dirt from my travel bag or from the car it's in, especially if it's in a cup holder or somewhere that gets crumbs etc. can collect. . Yes, I have already experienced that and hence the reason for my comment! But that's just a small note. Perfectly functional and useful for all sorts of scenarios where you need to raise your phone so you can see it, off your knees, or take your eyes off the road!
