It was bought by a second lens for a whale 18-105, on D90 for a specific purpose - macro photography. An additional set of macro rings without lenses was purchased, that is, focusing in the full manual. I must say, my expectations were fully justified! The background is blurred to a wadded uniform state, I saw this only on expensive macro lenses with a cost that is not compatible with such a ridiculous price - 3900 glass is new in the store and a set of rings for 900. If you get into focus, then all the pattern transitions are visible on the grasshopper's leg! On 18 105 it does not pass or take place. And this is on the smallest macro ring ! Of course, there are some peculiarities - you have to focus at close range, not all insects like it, some do not care, bumblebees, bees, some grasshoppers, beetles and do not pay attention! Of course, this is an amateur. I hardly shot landscapes, the angle is small, and in terms of sharpness it is no better than 18-105, but it still conveys colors more naturally. Conclusion: an excellent inexpensive lens for artistic purposes, maybe also a good portrait lens, but I haven’t tried it.
