No accuracy below 40% ABV

For spirits around 40% ABV and above this tool works well. forget it below For example, I bought this mainly to evaluate my homemade limoncello. I make it about 30% ABV, but when tested, the hygrometer reads less than 0% alcohol. I also tried it on a bottle of commercial toffee schnapps at 20% ABV. Same result: less than 0% alcohol.
