Bad documentation. The supply voltage must match the impedance of the speakers.

I bought this to fix a broken Bose Soundlink Mini 1 Bluetooth speaker Bose has an EEPROM error. None of the buttons respond, hard reset did nothing. So I installed this XY-P40W bluetooth amplifier module along with a buck-boost controller module. I set the voltage to 18V DC using standard 4 ohm Bose speakers. Unfortunately, the device worked fine until one channel of the amplifier chip was shorted out. There is no documentation other than the schematic and wiring diagram, hence my two stars. The indication of the supply voltage 8-24 V DC on the circuit diagram is misleading. Note. When using two 4 ohm speakers, do not use a power supply greater than 12 VDC. Anything else will burn out the amplifier IC. If you're driving two 8 ohm speakers I wouldn't use anything with a supply voltage greater than 20V DC. They list 24 VDC as the maximum supply voltage, but that would be for two or two 8 ohm 16 speakers. Loudspeaker with an additional heat sink mounted on the sound IC. Because I messed up my sound IC, I used the bluetooth part of the circuit with the original Bose Soundlink Mini TPA 3118 audio circuit, which allowed me to use the remote with Bose. Soundlink Mini. The overall design of the circuit is fine, and as long as you use the speaker impedances and supply voltages listed above, the circuit should be fine.
