I should start by saying I am 5' 4 and weigh 140 pounds at the moment. I ordered the large due to these clothes always fitting really weirdly. This dress FELT like it fit perfectly. I twirled around and was the vampire queen that I aim to be. But then I made the mistake of actually looking in the mirror, and I wish I hadn't. The cut is AWEFUL! The breast area is low (not the actual skin-line, although that is low too, but the seam line), the area goes around the sides, but meets really far apart in the middle. It makes you look like you have pancake boobs. Even a push up bra made it worse. Taking the bra off made it look like I had no boobs at all. The seem under the breast-line was by far worse. It's just low enough that it sits directly on top of where your second set of abs would be. So even if you work out, it makes that first line look like a donut going all the way around. And because the line is so high, it makes the lower portion look even heavier than it is. If they had the top seam closer, it would accentuate. If they had the bottom line seam lower, it would make short people look taller and thinner instead of shorter and stockier. If you are tall and slender then I'm sure it fits fine, but if you are short and have ANY meat on your bones, this is not a good fit.
