I bought this for my daughter who has fine shoulder length hair. I have a feeling hair towels can be more absorbent, but they work better than just a towel. After wearing it for about half an hour, her hair went from wet to damp but not wet anymore. I think if the first hair towel absorbs the most water, you can get better results by using a second dry towel. The towels are very soft and she likes to wear them, so that's a good thing. At the moment I'm not sure I would buy more, I think I might try another brand and see how it compares.
