Recently I had to buy a new additional monitor for my iMac. This monitor can be connected via VGA or HDMI with a Thunderbolt adapter. I had one for VGA, and while it worked on my old monitor and worked on my new one, I was never happy with the adapter's poor physical connection to the VGA cable. This adapter not only allows you to use HDMI, but also connects perfectly with the supplied HDMI cable. Very happy with this simple solution.
