Review on GVM Video 2300K 6800K Brightness Photography by Zach Flores

This is not suitable for a proper softbox setup.

I bought these to see how they would perform against my existing set of large softbox fluorescent bulbs. What I don't like about softboxes is how big and bulky they are, and every once in a while the lightbulb breaks and I have to replace it. that they are the worst choice and do nothing better than installing a fluorescent softbox (except they take up less space). These GVM lights are like using a powerful flashlight to illuminate your scene, the light output is sharp and narrow, and the little diffusers that come with the lights don't really diffuse the light like softboxes do. This way you end up with glaringly lit spots on your subject's face. The barn doors prevent the light from swinging down. So if you're filming something underneath you, e.g. B. on a table, you need to keep your barn doors away from light sources. The included coasters are also of the lowest quality. Bottom line: Nothing beats a big, bulky softbox to give you a nice, even, diffused light. Unfortunately, those GVM lights are back.
