It won't cover all of your gray hair - get the Color the Gray product they offer instead.

I used henna for the first time. I have about 40% gray and dark brown hair. I did a skin test and a hair sample. I then used distilled water and 3 tablespoons lemon juice for highlights. I didn't let it "cure" because the box said it wasn't necessary. It wasn't as dirty as everyone said either, but I would recommend putting a towel on the sink and floor. Anyway, I let it sit for two hours until I couldn't stand the smell anymore. It smells like chicken manure that I cleared out in our barn. I also got a headache from the smell, so I could only walk for two hours. Rinsing off was easy, I rinsed with warm water first and then applied conditioner liberally. He didn't paint over all of my gray hair, but painted over some of it. The dark brown color is nice, but there was a green-yellow cast to my face-framing. Here I had an almost solid gray color when I started. I know some people say it's due to a chemical reaction but I haven't used any other hair dye for 8 weeks and I only use natural hair shampoo and make my own hairspray so I don't know why it's making my hair greenish yellow colored . Place. However, it REALLY faded overnight as it continued to oxidize and my hair color is a nice dark brown and around my face a light brown looks like highlights. I just want it to color all my gray hair. I took a chance with this "regular" product before I saw that they offered a Color the Gray product. Will definitely try this again as another review said it covers more and more gray every time you color. Just take a look.
