Simply awesome in protective gear
finally halves that fit my strange legs. I have very developed calves but they tie at the knees so all halves that fit my calves gape at the top. My left calf is also half an inch bigger than my right. The stretch on them is good enough to conform to my shape without feeling like my calves are in a vise. The leather is soft and comfortable when you first wear them, and locally they really count as boots (although you have to work hard to keep them shiny). A sizing note: I'm 17 inches from sole to back of knee which I wouldn't call "tall" but ended up getting a medium size and they are perfect.
