Work from home, we love our widescreen

A great benefit to working from home. Out of the box everything worked as expected, the only change was deciding how to use such a large screen. Opening multiple full-size windows, each with their own tabs, is very nice. It allows you to switch from one page to another and back just by looking from one big screen to another. Comparing is much easier, and dragging from one to another is instantaneous, with no zooming/scrolling when switching from one screen to another. I had a 30 inch wide spreadsheet open on one page, no zooming and no scrolling back and forth to see the results of the changes. I played around with a few photos to try it out. One page contained my photo file, another a large copy of the image I wanted to work with, and a third my photo editing app. This should make photo editing more fun. Ouch! and when I think it looks good enough to print, I enlarge it to full screen to see every mistake. I used a panoramic photo as my full width home screen background, it's so distracting that I dwell on it instead of working. The picture quality is very sharp and clear in my opinion. There are many appearance controls. There's so much white background behind the text on the text page that it's eye straining, but it's easily adjustable in tone and brightness. I tried the film in widescreen and after adjusting the aspect ratio. It's really nice, now I need a more comfortable chair. Because of the size, you might not want to be as close to the screen as you normally would, everything is bigger and you might have to turn your head instead of moving your eyes. You may also want to adjust your mouse speed as it goes a long way. Broad. A function allows us to connect 2 computers with the same screen and drag them from one to the other. I haven't set it up yet, but I can think of many possibilities. I read a negative comment about the small speaker. Sound. I do not agree. I appreciate good sound quality and have my own sound system hooked up, but the ones on the back of the monitor sound pretty good to me. Some buyers don't want to spend a lot of money on built-in speakers. Some models come without speakers. Either they're not welcome in a busy office, or they prefer an upgraded sound system. I often don't feel like turning on my sound system and it's still good enough for news reports etc. I wasn't expecting the built in vibration to shake the room but it fits. I was expecting either a wall mount or a riser. on my desk, but neither was needed. The base is wide and stable. The split leg allows you to place anything under the screen, e.g. a closed laptop, docking station, keyboard, or paperwork. It is height and tilt adjustable in all directions. I put felt pads under the rubber feet to make it easier to slide across the table. The ports in the middle of the back are awkward to access on a wide screen, so it's convenient to move it around on the felt pads. The monitor is a little heavy on the top, it's not dangerous, but I'll add a small quick release strap on the back to give it a better feel.
