It works, you can change everything to the old case (at least with my key)

This is for the US keyless fob. I was having trouble with the buttons on the remote and one of my original remotes only worked every 3 or 4 tries. I ordered these blocks for exchange. I can't confirm their longevity as I've only just started using them, but would like to share some information. If they break I will update this review. I was able to take the remote off the new key and put it in the body of my old keys. Fits perfectly. Since my transponder is a separate device, this made my work a lot easier. It took longer to get the programming information below than the programming. If your original case is broken, you can move the already cut key to a new case. You can program the remote part of your 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 Honda Ridgeline remote control by yourself at home. with this simple guide. You still need to take the key to be cut and program the transponder chip to start the car. TO PERFORM THIS PROCESS, YOU MUST USE A WORKING/PROGRAMMED KEY THAT STARTS YOUR VEHICLE. One said to press the button once, then twice, then thrice, the other said to press the button once for each cycle. Both said to do it THREE times. It didn't work on my 2008 Ridgeline. The instructions below indicate that it takes FOUR cycles to enter programming mode. This worked for me. I've only been able to program three remotes (I think that's the maximum), one of my original ones and two of my new ones.1. Switch the ignition to position ON2. Within 1-4 seconds, press the lock or unlock button on the transmitter (by pointing the transmitter at the dashboard)3. Turn the ignition key to the OFF4 position within 1-4 seconds. Turn the ignition key to the ON5 position within 1-4 seconds. Within 1-4 seconds, press the lock or unlock button on the transmitter (by pointing the transmitter at the dashboard)6. Turn the ignition key to the OFF7 position within 1-4 seconds. Turn the ignition key to the ON8 position within 1-4 seconds. Within 1-4 seconds, press the lock or unlock button on the transmitter (by pointing the transmitter at the dashboard)9. Turn the ignition key to the OFF10 position within 1-4 seconds. Turn the ignition key to the ON11 position within 1-4 seconds. Within 1-4 seconds, press the lock or unlock button on the transmitter (by pointing the transmitter at the dashboard)12. Make sure you hear the sound of the door lock and unlock actuators. Within 1-4 seconds, press the transmitter lock or unlock button again13. Within 15 seconds, aim the transmitters (up to 3) whose codes you want to store at the instrument panel and press the lock or unlock button. Make sure you hear the sound of the door lock and unlock actuators after storing each transmitter code. NOTE: You must do this for all channels.14. Turn off the ignition and remove the key. 15. Confirm the operation of the new code on each transmitter.
