The monitor had a horizontal bar and a vertical bar of dead pixels from day 1. Actually, I wanted to ask for a replacement. However, I noticed that every time my laptop turned off the screen, as part of the Windows power and saving settings, the layout of the program's open windows reverted to the default layout and I had to resize and move the windows. This reset did not occur on my Dell monitor. I called Samsung to see if I could change the settings to make the monitor remember the last screen layout. They suggested that I should prevent my laptop from going to sleep or the screen from turning off. Decided to return the monitor for a refund.
