Don't expect any sound upgrades, audiophile voodoo or some "coloring". It doesn't, and anyone who says otherwise is a victim of marketing jargon. I'll explain what it does and what it's good for: If you have background noise due to bad USB ports (this is more common than you might think. Even my premium Threadripper motherboard makes a lot of noise), use this in combination with On decent 5V linear power supply eliminates the noise mentioned above. My Schiit Modi 3 sounded like crap. Hissing, popping, howling, and screeching when using GPU and/or mouse. i hated it I've put on that and a decent 5V linear power supply and now it's fine. I no longer have any background noise, crackling or squeaking and am able to use my DAC as intended. If you choose iDefender+ for "Soundstage Enhancement" or "Audio Clarity", you are doing something wrong. This is a USB ground loop isolator designed to be used with an external power supply. If you keep this in mind, you won't be disappointed.
