I received the jar shipped from China a week later. That alone is impressive. The tin is solid and well made, with no occasional burrs or machining issues. The threads of the glass and the spikes are very good. The bronze filter looks durable and flows well. Overall it's well built and looks pretty good, especially for the price. However, there is a problem. Continue reading. There are o-rings on the can and both hoses that provide a good seal in those areas. Now there is a problem. While the rest of the jar seals well, the cork at the bottom of the jar isn't sealed. There is a teflon tape on the plug from the factory, but it flows a lot even when the plug is unplugged. I pressurized the canister a bit and blew air out of the bottom connector threads. At least the bottle I received shouldn't be installed the way it was received as oil will ooze out of it. I have contacted the seller and will update this review when I hear from you. Update: The seller responded immediately and addressed my issue. They wanted photos of the leak, which makes sense. I filled the jar with water, photographed the dripping and sent it to the seller as proof it had leaked. They apologized for the problem and sent me a new glass. I will update the review again when the tin arrives. So far very good service from the seller. Update: I received a replacement lens from China in a week and a half. Not bad. The new can does not leak! The cork fits better than the first can. I suppose it was important. The new can also has a threaded band, just like the first one. It should be noted that while waiting for a replacement lens, I disassembled the first one and noticed some burrs on the internal threads. The second is better in this regard. Even on an expensive can, I would check for burrs, so I don't see that as a problem. Exactly what to expect for the price of this can. They're easy to remove, so no big deal. Considering the improved quality of the second glass and the seller's good service in fixing the problem with the first glass and supporting his product, 5 stars!
