I only received this today but I'm buying this as a spare so don't hesitate to give it a 5 star rating. This particular pot comes with our pop-up fiberglass and has lasted four seasons. We rest a lot and this potty is my wife's #1 most important feature. We wore out the bellows on the original potty because we bumped into it every time we held it under the seat. Bellows against locking. Gradually a small hole appeared in the bellows and while it was still pumping quite a bit of water, some water from the upper flush also seeped onto the floor. I don't think this is a design flaw, just an unintended consequence. And in four seasons we've camped over 250 days, so there's plenty to do every night. I've uploaded a photo of my solution to reduce bellows slapping. We use this at night (only #1 and no toilet paper.) and it saves us trips to the woods or to the potty at night. It lasts us both about 8 days before it needs to be emptied. We often dump it down the basement toilet and think we'll make the basement smell better! At home we flush it down the toilet but as another reviewer said watch out for spills. I don't think it makes a difference to the smell and I'm worried it might be bad for the bellows pump. We often use a bleach pad when camping when we feel the bowl has aged a bit and is working. It usually smells only after 5 nights. Another reviewer said it's the stinkiest thing in your RV the first time you use it, and I agree. I usually add 2 ounces of Aqua-Kem just before we leave the house. I had a small problem with leakage from the base. I ended up tightening the lid with a rag to wrap for better grip. I tightened it to the point where I figured I'd need a wrench to take it off at home and that usually stopped the leak. I also looked for replacement gaskets but couldn't find anything. I noticed that this model has a different seal so it may not leak and/or require superhuman strength to tighten. This new lid is also translucent so it looks like it's a good indicator of how full it is. I also smeared some petroleum jelly on the dishwashing pad at the bottom of the bowl. I think someone else recommended this. At one point the gasket was a bit bent and didn't seal well, but that was over a year ago and I was able to straighten it out with needle nose pliers and it's been working perfectly ever since. The fact of the matter is that this device is 11.75 inches, not 12.5 inches. This is very important to us, as it is stowed exactly 30 cm under the seat. I've read the specs on various sites, they all say 12.5 inches. No, that is not so. I ordered it thinking I could return it but when it arrived I put it in the camper and it fits perfectly.
