Review on Gaming Computer ZOTAC MAGNUS ONE ECM53060C (ZBOX-ECM53060C-BE) Intel Core i5-10400, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, OS Not Installed, 500W, Black by Adam Trela ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thought it would be better, but overall not bad.

It seemed to us that, in terms of features and price, this is a better solution than the same with the i7 processor, since the i5 processor is not so hot. If not for LHR, it would be possible to put five stars and, for such a price, definitely recommend for purchase. Bought at NewMart for 101,650 (now, it seems, they offer it there for 99,500). But, due to the inability to bypass LHR, we are very disappointed. In addition, it turned out that within 7 (seven) days the computer could be returned under the consumer protection law with the wording "did not fit", but we tried, all this time, to somehow bypass LHR. Summary: If for work or for games, then for 100k it is quite a good solution for your money (you could put 5 stars). And, since it's generally not as hot as the same older model (with an i7 processor and an RTX 3070 card), it makes more sense to choose this one for everyday work or games. However, buying for the extraction of ether is, in this case, an extremely unsuccessful decision (1 or 2 stars - no more).

Pros
  • Appearance. Quality. Pleasantly heavy. As the saying goes: "you pick up a maesh - a thing." Powerful modern processor and video card. Pretty thoughtful cooling system (don't forget to set the inclusion of case coolers from +25°С or +35°С in the BIOS). Two Ethernet ports, one gigabit and one 2.5 gigabit. Lots of USB ports. Modern WiFi and Bluetooth. Two slots for M.2 NVMe SSD and one slot for 2.5-inch SATA SSD/HDD. All this in a very compact package, which is not ashamed to put on the table.
Cons
  • Unfortunately, this Magnus One (with an Intel Core i5 processor) comes with an RTX 3060 LHR V1 (Rev. 18MAY21) graphics card. Or maybe we just got unlucky. In short, this is the first LHR, but one that cannot be installed with the 470.05 driver. Of the actual disadvantages: Noisy processor cooler. Given the compact case, it is unlikely that you will be able to find a suitable size, but more efficient CPU cooler. Plus, it is not clear what will happen, in this case, with the guarantee. There is no way to Downvolt the processor or reduce the frequency multiplier. The XTU utility from Intel does not help much in this matter either.
