Chromebooks are inexpensive PCs

I think a lot of people don't know or misunderstand Chromebooks. While my kids have had chomebooks in the past, I've never had one myself. So it's a relatively new experience for me and it's been a very positive one. All in all, it's a very good mix of hardware and software, giving most people what they need for almost all day-to-day PC activities. It is used as an everyday family PC. First, the HP hardware is pretty damn good for the price this device is being sold for. It's a very clean design and feels pretty solid when held with one hand. I've had pricier laptops that felt like they would break if held the same way. I would say the keyboard is on par with other laptops in this price range. One complaint I have is the sharp edges where you place your palms while typing. I would have liked it to be a little rounder, but that doesn't change the game. I'll have to see how it fares in the long run. The screen is also very similar to screens in this price range. Not the widest viewing angles, but excellent touch response. Viewing angles only become a problem when used as a tablet. Speaking of which, I like that the screen folds completely so it can be used as a tablet. This is a great feature and I wish all laptops could do it. The battery life seems really great. I can use this for 2 or 3 days on a single charge. This applies to normal web browsing, so no movies/music will drain the battery. Finally, Chrome OS is very simple and lightweight. I like how some web apps show up as installed apps instead of webpages in the Chrome web browser. I also activated the beta version of the Linux virtual machine, which allowed me to install the Brave web browser. I prefer it to Chrome for its security and ad-blocking features. It seems to work fine, although it might be a bit slower than Chrome. So far I'm very happy with this Chromebook. I think it offers great value and an experience better than I expected. Highly recommended!
