PROS: - Good sound quality - Great volume (30W) - Huge battery, very long life - Ability to charge other devices with a USB cable - Compact size MINUS: - Bass is a bit dirty (but not that bad) - can't control bluetooth device via speaker (fast forward, rewind, pause etc.) - no speakerphone I really like my 30w monster nomad bluetooth speaker and would it is recommended by everyone who is looking for a portable Bluetooth speaker with more volume than normal speakers. I use it to listen to music in our garden pool, at parties or just going out. It's loud enough to annoy the neighbors if I want to. It has good bass response but tends to be a bit muddy so a little EQ on your Bluetooth device can really help improve the bass. The guitar and microphone inputs are not worth mentioning, but could be useful as a small public address for a game of bingo or the like. AM/FM radio is a plus if you listen to commercial radio, but I've never used this feature. Another great feature is the huge battery! I have yet to drain it and the fact that you can use it to charge your USB devices is a HUGE BONUS! Overall this is a great bluetooth speaker with plenty of volume and above average sound quality for my needs and I will buy another one if it gets damaged or stolen. I have a Bose Soundlink II speaker that has better bass than the Monster. Nomad, but it really lacks volume for outdoor use (or just when it's on). It's much better than Bose for my needs, although Bose has a lot more features than Monster. When I bought this in April 2017 it was about $80, now it's about $130. It's worth it for the price too! I love my! I accidentally left my Monster out in the rain recently and it didn't survive, so waterproofing is only for light splashes or occasional contact. I am currently awaiting service instructions under the extended warranty that I purchased when I received the unit.
