So the smallest size was almost round when I laid it flat. Neither of my two Chihuahuas could climb on it to use it. I almost returned it but then realized I could just remove some of the filling. I ended up removing most of the filling to make it easier for my dogs to climb on. Now it looks like a pillow in the photo. Haven't tried washing it yet but I like that the cover is removable and the material is durable. We use it on our outdoor patio. I love how it looks!
