Update September 2020, about 19 months later and it's still working as it should. I'm in Trinidad and they sent it to my skybox. It arrived quickly but I was very busy and didn't have time to collect it until today. 🤦🏽‍♂️Anyway, I have a 2005 X5 E53 and I live in the Caribbean, we have right-hand drive and the other side: right front, the xenon low beam was not on at all. The headlamp assembly has to be removed to replace the ballast/control module and there were no headlamp removal instructions online for my model so I had to find this out with the help of my mechanic buddy. You need to remove the bumper - there are instructions for this. Then the headlight was removed. You must remove the three Torx screws on the bottom of the assembly to replace the broken part with a new one. The installation is complete and everything works wonderfully. 👍🏾 Today is the first day, but I can only recommend it. For $44 you can't go wrong. The genuine part will cost you around $530, saving you $75 compared to Hella's OEM version. AA Ignition is a reputable company and the warranty on this unit is LIFETIME! You can't beat that! If your car uses this part, buy it! Today is February 2nd, 2019. Even if I get a free replacement, if something goes wrong I will update this post to let you know how long it will take. .
