It is difficult to achieve a perfect attachment, which greatly affects the current operation of the door. A wall bracket in the right place would have been ideal, which we apparently didn't have. I have a love-hate relationship with this gate. I have to use my foot to make the bottom perfect by squeezing the top latch to open or close it. The big downside is that even my 8 year old can barely open the gate and I need her to be able to use it. It makes a loud clicking noise, which is a problem when people are sleeping. Although I really like how it tidies up and leans against the wall. Obviously, it's great that there isn't a bottom bar to step over like some do. good height.
