Review on 🔌 Griffin PowerDock 5 - Multi-Charger Dock: Charge 5 USB Devices Simultaneously for Apple iPad, iPhone, and iPod by Elijah Pope

Overall the product works well but there are a few issues I've encountered.1. When I checked this product online, both on the Revain website and the Griffin website, there was no indication that it came with a powerful power supply. I'm not talking about an oversized outlet like a single phone charger. It comes with a laptop-sized power adapter. I bought it to tidy up the countertop that the whole family uses to charge their phones and there was always a mess of chargers and cords. I was hoping for a clean solution. But now I have a decent looking platform and a huge adapter. It's better than two or three loads, but still. For this price I expected the adapter to be built into the base. It would be nice on a desk where you could hide the adapter under the cable gland, but it's not practical on a kitchen countertop.2. You need to get your own cables to connect to your phone. I understand they don't know if you have Android or what generation of iPhone, but it took me four small microUSB cables to get it working.3. Once you connect the cables, the aesthetic is a lot less appealing. With four 6-inch cords sticking out, it looks like a badly wounded miniature octopus. A small integrated cable storage would be nice. lacks the coolness that Griffin photos exude. For $80, I expected more. So the unit sits crooked on the power cord, amateur design bullshit, especially considering point 4. This was one of those little things that gets under my skin, so I filed a bigger slot to fit the cord . It is inconvenient to upgrade a brand new product at home. While it's not that big of a deal, it should be embarrassing for Griffin. I kept it because it's still better than three or four independent chargers on the counter, but I also feel ripped off and doubt I'll ever buy anything from Griffin again. I've been looking for a multiple phone docking/charging system for the whole family for a long time, but there aren't many. Unfortunately it was the best I found. I will replace it as soon as something better comes along.
