This was my first and only SSD so far. I'm currently using it in a high-end gaming laptop (with 16 gigabytes of memory) and I have to say that even after almost a year (I installed Windows in February 2013), Windows loaded incredibly fast. First thing I did with this disc. Install the latest firmware. I'm still not sure if the Windows 7 "Experience Index" is really worth anything, but the drive score has increased noticeably to 7.9 from 7.9. I prefer to have as much space as possible on my C: drive (I have other drives for applications etc.). Of course, the first thing you need to do is move the paging file to another internal drive, because if you leave the paging file as "system managed" and have a ridiculous amount of memory (16 gigabytes!), the paging file will at least 16 gigs. I also disabled hibernation so I don't have to worry about the hibernation file and used the advanced system properties environment variables to change the location of my temp folder (e.g. %temp% value). In the last 10 months, Windows has slowed down significantly. How much he loves doing it, but maybe just for a second. I'm still on my desktop as fast as it can get my gaming console up and running. And that's all I can really expect or want. It's hard to say if this disc is better than any other as it's the only one I've ever had. But it certainly works for what it is.
