I have been using this product successfully since last June. The packaging is ordinary as I didn't even receive the 'Vac Fresh' label pictured. Therefore, there may be deviations from suppliers. As others have said, this is a significantly cheaper product than branded food saver pouches or rolls. However, I couldn't tell any difference from the factory samples that came with my Foodsaver. The bags have one side smooth/shiny and the other side has "waffle channels" for air intake. There's no fancy writing area like Foodsaver bags, but the bags' smooth side is comfortable enough to use with a Sharpie marker. They worked 100% flawlessly every time, except I made the mistake of making the base gasket too close to the rim, making them much more prone to a small leak. I have sealed both wet food including steak/fish and dry food such as jerky and baked goods. Everything worked fine with no long leaks for several months. The buns are bigger than my Foodsaver would fit. However, I just leave the larger roll out and use either the gift wrap cutter or the Foodsaver paper cutter until it's small enough to fit the appliance as intended. In any case, for the price paid and the cost savings, this is a small disadvantage. Will definitely buy again without hesitation. There are no real downsides to this product unless you are willing to spend more money.
