For a window unit, it's quieter than other models I've had. Blows out even more air than another 10,000 BTU system I've installed. Now when we first plugged it in it was LOUD, the foam pad inside was rubbing against the fan, I pulled out the vent and pushed back the foam and it was quiet for a while. a little and back. So I decided to just crank it up to max speed and let it run for a while, after a while it rubbed enough to stop making noise. Now this is amazing and I wish I had bought 2 of these.
