Review on Sony X85J Inch Compatibility KD65X85J by George Woods

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I live in the stone age.

My old TV was so worn out that there were "burn marks" on some corners. I decided it was time to invest in a new TV. I figured if I buy a new TV I'll buy 4K with a higher refresh rate. I won't lie, I did a lot of research just to find some kind of TV. Many TVs promise 124Hz refresh rates, but many public reviews of the same TVs state that all HDMI ports are 60Hz. of those only support 124Hz and the other two support 60Hz. And that's fine, at least if I get a 4K Blu-Ray or PS5 (which will be a LONG time before I can do that thanks to Parasite Scalpers). ready to maximize their potential. The smart part of the TV honestly surprised me, I didn't expect my TV to easily connect to the internet and yet it did. The setup was also a little confusing but after fiddling around I figured it out and got a more comfortable setup. Watch movies and shows REALLY day or night on your old TV. Sure the old one still did 1080p but to be fair the X85J compresses colour, that looks nice. While the Nintendo Switch can't hit a 124Hz refresh rate, games like Smash Bros. DragonBall FighterZ and even Monster Hunter Rise make all those colors pop. And when I use the refresh rate, many of the movies and shows I watch here look smooth and clean. The only downside is that I can only use the 124Hz refresh rate from streaming apps at the moment since I don't have the hardware. a while. But I took full advantage of it when I connected the TV to the internet and downloaded a lot of apps. The first movie I watched was Godzilla vs Kong when my Blu-Ray copy was available as a free digital download and I doubt I'll ever go back to 1080p for movies. I really like this TV and can't wait for the day I get the PS5 because it will make a lot of my games look great. You may have noticed, although I gave it 4 stars for value for money. While it's still a fairly affordable, high-end TV, the 55 was actually sold for the same price as the 50. Why is this a problem? The problem is that the 55 was too big for my current entertainment center and the 50 was perfect, so I went with the 50. I had to pay the same for the smaller size and I won't lie I'm small. disappointed about it. Another note that annoys me a bit at first is that each input has its own visual settings (brightness, contrast, etc.). It's pretty smart in the long run, you can literally make any input a different visual output for specific media preferences. But it's annoying at first because if you have multiple devices to connect to, you'll have to set them up the way you want for each of them, making it a bit cumbersome. But once it's set up, it stays that way until you change it. Overall I really like this TV. Was it expensive, yes, very expensive. Do I have to pay that much? no I'm sorry for that? Not in the slightest. This TV opens up a whole new way of watching movies, and even games look great with vivid colors.
