This stretcher looked strong enough and at first I was impressed with the steel mesh windows. My female cockatoo Goffin was missing. She's fairly small even by Goffin's standards, so size wasn't an issue. I spent a few days showing her the carrier and when it came time for the long drive to the vet she got in with no problem. However, after 10 minutes, she gnawed a hole in one of the windows and pulled her beak out. So I let her out and we rode to the vet together in the front seat. After we met, I put her back in the stroller and we drove home. She squeaked a little and then fell silent. I looked at the passenger seat and what did I see? My little buddy somehow unzipped his and tried to escape. In fact, she has damaged the zipper path to the point that it will no longer close. Bullshit I think. I suppose it might not be a fair test to keep a cockatoo in this carrier, but I think any parrot that loves to chew would ship this thing. It looks very nice and looks well made. In fact, your bird is not chewing.
