I can apply precise pressure to keep my pants or shorts from falling off. Clicks are audible and I can make nano adjustments unlike classic straps. Delivered well, everything is crumpled on the outside but the contents are not scratched. I won't go back to regular straps anytime soon unless the ratcheting effect wears off over time.
